Syam is a technology executive with over 20 years of experience in Technology leadership. He was part of high-growth startups as well as big organisations. Most recently he was the Chief Technology Officer of a Japanese fintech company, Gojo (a series E-stage startup with more than 500 M market capitalization). In Gojo, he was instrumental in defining the technology strategy and brought up the technology organisation from scratch including setting up an offshore technology centre in India. Before joining Gojo, he was leading the Technology & Solution architecture function for Visa, APAC. He was in charge of the SEA region and was working with startups and financial institutions to cocreate fintech products. He was working as Director of Digital Product Strategy with Mastercard before joining Visa.
Syam is an Engineering graduate from India and has experience in developing technology and product roadmaps, building scalable distributed web and mobile applications, and growing engineering teams from scratch to scale and multi-country digital transformation programs. He holds 4 granted patents in financial services-related areas.
